Haying operations must be efficient in the face of rising costs. Morris Industries has become an industry leader in round bale systems. The proven Morris Hay Hiker turns round bale loading and unloading into a fast, easy, one-person operation, saving you time, money and labor.

Up to eighteen bales can be picked on the go, in a single pass, and unloaded without ever having to leave your tractor cab. The Morris 881 Hay Hiker and the larger capacity 1400 Hay Hiker deliver superior performance and value.

Horsepower requirements - 180 hp minimum for the 1400 and 100 hp minimum for the 881. Hydraulic flow required - 20 gallons per minute at 2000 psi (Most tractors have adequate hydraulic flow capacity to run our Hay Hikers).

Heavy-Duty Undercarriage
The 881 features a dual axle leaf-spring suspension system to accommodate a 5,455 kg (12,000 lb) payload. The 1400 features a tandem axle with a 13,182 kg (29,000 lb) load capacity.

Benefit: Excellent flotation and load carrying capacity.

Benefit: Smoother ride even in rougher field conditions.

Full Load Indicator
The full load indicator on the 1400 Hay Hiker signals the operator when the Hay Hiker reaches maximum capacity. No more counting bales!

Benefit: Visual aid speeds picking operation.

push-bar.jpg

Push Bar
Bales are gently rolled from the Deflector onto the bed frame and moved along the bed with the Push Bar. There are no chain hooks to tear the bale twine or wrapping.

Benefit: Less damage – more efficient bale picking (reduces re-baling broken bales).

Benefit: Ensures a tight end-to-end pack for better storage.

Side Rails
Optional on the 881, side rails are standard on the 1400 Hay Hiker.

Benefit: Greater stability when hauling soft or large round bales.

Adjustable Fork Frame
The heavy-duty frame of the Bale Fork is adjustable. Uniquely positioned dual hydraulic cylinders maintain smooth fork operation.

Benefit: Enables the operator to adjust forks to lift all round bale sizes.

Rotate Bales
Contact the bale at almost any angle. The Bale Turner quickly rotates bales onto the fork, allowing you to follow directly behind the baler. No more pulling away from fence lines!

Benefit: Operator can pick up bales in any orientation to greatly speed up the loading and unloading process.

Large Payload Capacity
The 881 Hay Hiker can quickly handle twelve 1.22 m (48 inch) bales or eight 1.52 m, 1.60 m, 1.83 m (60, 63, or 72 inch) bales. The 1400 Hay Hiker easily handles eighteen 1.22 m (48 inch) bales; fourteen 1.52 m (60 inch) bales or twelve large 1.83 m (72 inch) bales.

Benefit: Customer has choice of Bale Carrier to fit baler type and bale size.

Safety Lighting
All Hay Hikers come with standard red and amber lighting.

Benefit: Safer road and highway transport.

hh_bale_divide.jpg
Bale Divider
Hydraulic control system tilts the frame while the push bar gently pushes the bales off the bed. During unloading, the Hay Hiker moves forward, separating bales side-to-side with the unique Bale Divider.

Benefit: This allows proper air circulation between rows while bales remain tight end-to-end for the best in weather protection.

Benefit: Better quality feed – less waste.
