Morris introduces the first true front row fertilizer coulter design on the Maxim III. We placed all the fertilizer coulters up front where they are more accessible. This practical placement enables the coulters to run on undisturbed soil to give you optimum trash clearance and reliable, precise fertilizer placement. Center place liquid, granular or anhydrous fertilizer in a tight band between the seed rows. And only a Morris trip reduces pressure as it lifts higher minimizing stress on shanks, trip components and the frame. The new Maxim III, precision seeding made simple, practical, and easy to use.

Flexibility

Morris' patented frame coupling system provides the ultimate in contourability, with individual wing frames left to float free of the center frame. For added durability the center frame contains no wear points.

Benefit: Unsurpassed seed and fertilizer placement on rolling land. All seeds at the same depth leads to more uniform germination and more uniform maturity at harvest.

Transport

Over-center wings eliminate the need for wing locks making fold-up quick and compact. Transport wheels lock into place automatically (for long distances transport pins can be manually installed for added safety). Low profile distribution allows for a tight compact transport.

Benefit: No pins or latches are required increasing your productivity.

Leveling Harrows
Two bar straight tine leveling harrows are available for Maxim Air Drills.

Benefit: Combined with tillage tools, leveling harrows eliminate the need to pre-work fields for weed kill prior to seeding.

Benefit: Provides a smoother field finish.

Rock Deflectors
Maximize your drill’s life with a solid rock deflector attachment.

Benefit: Prevents rock intervention and damage to the packer wheels.

Depth Control
An easy to access hand crank on the back of each frame section accurately sets your seeding depth and stays set until you change it.

Benefit: Locked in depth ensure precise and uniform product placement across the entire width of the drill.

Front Row Coulter Design

The first true front row fertilizer coulter design. Running the coulters on undisturbed soil gives you optimum trash clearance and reliable, precise fertilizer placement. Easy to access for adjustment, positioning and service, the coulters can be quickly and easily locked up when not required.

Benefit: Allows the grower to put down larger amounts of fertilizer without damage to the seed.

Mud Scrapers
Mud scrapers feature a simple design for quick installation and adjustment.

Benefit: Helps eliminate soil build-up on steel or rubber packer wheels for consistent seed depth.

Trip Option

Choose a 180 kg (400 lb) or new 250 kg (550 lb) spring cushion trip. Only a Morris trip reduces pressure as it lifts higher minimizing stress on shanks, trip components and the frame. Choose a 2.54 cm (1 inch) traditional “C” shank or an “Edge-on” shank for optimum trash clearance.

Benefit: Growers can choose the option that best fits their needs.

Trash Clearance
A unique trip pattern on a four-row configuration provides optimum trash flow. The use of Morris’ "Edge-On" shanks tackle heavy surface residue with minimum soil disturbance.

Benefit: Excellent trash flow makes this an ideal machine for minimum-till and no-till operations.

Row Spacing
Opener spacing options are 19 cm (7 1/2 in), 25.4 cm (10 in) or 30.5 cm (12 in).

Benefit: Opener spacing and opener choices allow growers an ideal fit to their cropping practices and residue management.

Smooth Ride

Dual castors on the front gauge wheels ensure a smooth even ride as you pass over clumps and rocks.

Benefit: Increased accuracy of seed and fertilizer placement.

Transport Hydraulic Controls
Transport hydraulic controls and automatic locking mechanisms allow the unit to fold easily and safely for transport.

Benefit: Quick, safe road and field-to-field transport.

Working Width Base Sizes
A Three-frame model is available in 12.2 m (40 ft) of working width. Five-frame models are available from 15.24 m (50 ft) to 18.29 m (60 ft).
